Argumentative Paragraphs
Paragraph One:
In Orwell’s 1984 everything is controlled by their government. This even includes food choices dictated by the cafeteria. This principle of controlled food is being applied to schools today. Refusing to see the benefits of selling junk foods at schools, such as bonus income from vending machines, schools ban certain foods. They do this regardless of the fact that it should be the parent’s choice on what their child is consuming, or even for the child himself to make that choice. This concept is why children should be allowed to purchase junk foods at school, as they wish to.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Some people may disagree with these unalienable rights, however. Kids these days are bullying each other to the point of suicide. There are numerous laws against harassment in the US, including penalties for encouraging suicide. The threat of jail time could also discourage kids from bullying each other, as jail is considered a very serious punishment, and a future ruiner for kids. All in all, kids who bully others should be put on criminal charges for assault, harassment, and/or encouraging suicide to others.

“Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its 5-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." Star Trek’s renown opening has label space as something that humans are unable to fully grasp and explore. And for most people, this is true, as often times astronauts needs to go through vigorous training in order to be able to go to space. However, a new company has begun selling tickets to space, a short three hour trek into space, accessible by everyday people. While many think that this would be fun, there are risks that one has to abide by. People must be in fit physical condition. Russell Brand being signed up for the trip probably has caused a lot of other people to sign up. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but could cause an influx of people who are not in physical conditions protected by whatever safety protocols are on the ship. People should be allowed to spend their money and time as they want to, and if they wish to do this, as long as it’s offered, they shouldn’t be criticised for it.
